TWGGA Legislative Action Day,

baby & momma at the capitol

Civics lesson for Baby Grape

Dino & I visited the state capitol as part of the 2013 Texas Wine & Grape Grower Association’s  LEGISLATIVE ACTION DAY – March 19, 2013.  We stopped by to visit with the staff of our representative to the house of representatives, Jimmie Don Aycock.  Then in the evening we poured Salado Winery wines at the capitol for interested politicians, staff, lobbyists and their friends.  We met a lot of great people and had a nice time.

According to TWGGA:

Twenty-seven TWGGA members and guests attended the Legislative Briefing before heading to the Capitol to make connections with their legislators and staff. The day ended with over 200 attending the Educational Seminar and Wine Tasting, where 18 wineries and 4 city/educational institutions poured wine and provided information.

The evening event was co-sponsored by Senator Jane Nelson. It was a long day but very beneficial for our industry. Thank you to everyone who worked hard and made many contacts throughout the day.
