At each winery, there will be plenty of opportunities to purchase additional wine tastings, and buy cool souvenirs, so bring your wallet. You must present your tickets to receive your tastings at each winery. Your tickets can be shown from your smartphone via email or using the Eventbrite app. Also, you need valid photo ID if you plan to consume alcohol.

If you have a group larger than 8, you MUST contact the wineries before your visit to let them know you are coming and when you will be arriving at least 24 hours in advance

And ….ABSOLUTELY NO alcoholic beverages allowed unless it is the wine that we sold you.

Are children allowed? Yes, but they must be accompanied and supervised!

Can I bring my dog? Sure! Please keep the dogs on a leash though, some wineries have cats!

What’s the refund policy? Tickets are refundable up to 7 days before the event starts. Wineries are not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets cannot be exchanged for another event, but you may transfer your tickets to someone else.

Can I change my glass pick up location? If tickets are still available then they are transferable through Eventbrite. Once the available tickets show 0 then that means there are no more glasses at that location to be picked up.

What about transportation? This is designed to be a self-guided tour. Please use designated drivers. Check our Facebook event page for local transportation companies.

Are wine glasses included at each winery? No, you should use your commerative trail glass. If you break or lose the glass, then each winery has glassware to use in order to provide your tasting. Please do not take their glasses without permission.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? You must be 21 to taste wine and you MUST show a valid ID. If you buy tickets online and then show up with no ID to prove you’re 21, we will not provide a tasting glass, wine or refunds. Please remember your ID!

hop on by for a great summer evening!

Art Opening Reception for John Davis, a visit from the gnomadic fashion truck, and an extra special wine tasting paired with some great food from Classic Events. A great summer evening filled with art, fashion, wine, food and of course, fun!

John Davis is a resident of Salado and friends with the owners of Salado Winery.  He was chosen to be featured in the winery gallery because his art reflects the eclecticism of the new businesses and artists that are redefining Salado.  John Davis says,

English is my second language after Art. I can express wordless ideas and places by creating them on a two dimensional surface. The illusion of the multi-dimensional world created on a flat plane is fascinating. Depth with all its mystery sparks my enthusiasm for creating space and filling it with artful shapes.

Artists like Max Earnst , Claes Oldenburg and Dr Suess are inspirational to me as are Silver Age Comic greats like James F. “Jim” Steranko, Jack Kirby and John Buscema . Influenced by Richard Scary, Mad Magazine and Science Fiction my art has evolved into what I like to call visual stream of consciousness.  In creating a piece, I want to fill the canvas with imagery and action to draw viewers in for close inspection that requires more than one visit. Using pencil, pen, brushes, spray paint and collage I encourage viewers to explore and discover personal messages via nostalgic icons of film, Americana or pop culture iconography”.

In addition to meeting the artist, a special food and wine pairing will be offered. The food will be prepared by Classic Catering.  The chef and his staff have carefully crafted a menu to pair with select Salado Winery wines. Tickets are available for $24.95 at
