I am the Product Development Manager for Giant Produce in Parma, Idaho. I have created a new Northwest retail onion product that no one else in the area is doing. It is Balsamic Caramelized Onions, we are an onion grower and packer of Oregon and Idaho onions and have developed this all natural no preservative gluten free product. We make it in a steam kettle in small batches at the University of Idaho Tech Kitchen. The product has only been available for only a short time and the feedback has been tremendous. Some of our current customers are Country Merc in Pasco, Washington, Duck Pond Cellars in Dundee, Or., Desert Wind Winery in Prosser Wa., SunRiver Marketplace in SunRiver Or, Carmela Vineyard, New Vintage Wine Shop, Boise Co-op, Front St. Market in Butte, Mt, Truffle Café at Pikes Market, Sawtooth Estates Winery, Bitner Vineyards, Rosauer’s/Huckleberrys, as well as online customers Taters and Idaho Gift Baskets and several fruit stands and winery gift shops.
