At Salado Winery Company, all of our wines are produced from grapes sourced around the state of Texas, most of them from right here in Bell County.
As winemaker, my job is like that of a chef. I am focused on using locally-grown grapes, as well as, presenting wine drinkers with wines that taste great.

SWEET TWEET
100% Muscato
Sweet Tweet is a partnership project with our friends at Homestead Winery. Muscato or Muscat, we don’t care what you call it! The current vintage we are selling is made from grapes were grown at Krick Hill Vineyards in Levelland, TX. Floral aroma, citrus after taste. We’ve sold over 1000 cases since March 2007.

BIG BULLY
75% Malbec, 25% Tempranillo
Our most popular dry red. Our 2016 Big Bully was grown in Temple, Texas by 3 Texans Vineyard and made right here in Salado. 75% medium toast American oak and 25% medium toast French oak

DIAMOND BACK
2019 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
This blend of 55% cabernet and 45% merlot was 100% grown in our vineyard in Salado and harvested in 2019. Don’t drink this wine and expect a heavy California style cabernet sauvignon. This wine is light bodied and perfect for a sunny Texas day.

NIGHT FLIGHT
100% Chardonnay
Night Flight is our first dry white produced on the premise. These chardonnay grapes were 100% grown in our vineyard and harvested in 2019 and 2020. This chardonnay is unoaked and we try to keep it on the tart and fruity side of chardonnay. Think apple and pear.

Sweet Red Wine
This terrific sweet red wine is specially made for us by our friends at Homestead Winery in Ivanhoe, Texas. It is hand-crafted to our picky specifications. Since March 2007, we’ve sold over 16,621 bottles of this wine!

ROOTIN’ TOOTIN’
100% Sangiovese
Our sweetest blush! We grow sangiovese in our vineyard in Salado, and it comes out quite light colored compared to the sangiovese the Italians make Chianti with. Ours is a beautiful bright red and so we make it into our party wine!
This wine is only available for in-store pickup and needs to be refrigerated at home. Sorry, we cannot ship this wine.

SLYLY SWEET
Our chocolate dessert wine!
We sold Slyly Sweet from 2017-2022. It was made from Black Spanish grapes that were picked in Belton in 2012. It was 18% alcohol.
Check back in autumn 2022 we are planning to re-launch a lower alcohol Slyly Sweet.

Did I tell you how much we love wine? We started out selling other folks wines in 2005 and we have enjoyed that so much we still sell them. We used to host the Texas Wine & Rogue Art Fest every year in March so we could share our favorite wines. We love it! We make it! We drink it! We bathe in it! Ok, now we’re exaggerating.
