Sorry, this event has been cancelled by the organizers

Keep Salado Beautiful

Do you like to run? And do you like our beautiful city of Salado? Want to let these interests mix, combining running with an opportunity to keep our city beautiful? Then join the locals for our Thursday night series of trash runs!

In order to give back to the Salado community that we love, we are organizing groups for our “Run, Recycle, Refuel” events. The goal is to run along different sections of Salado, pick up waste along the streets, and finish the run by rewarding the efforts of the volunteers with happy hours at a local neighborhood restaurant. Each run would cover about 2-4 miles and locations would rotate to cover different parts of Salado. Helping the effort will be local businesses, government agencies, eco-friendly advocates, and area runners. Any and all additional support would be greatly appreciated!

On Thursday, October 20, the organizing staff and volunteers will meet at 6:00pm at Salado Wine Seller.  Plan on running from 6:15pm to 7:00pm, wrapping up at Salado Wine Seller with happy hour until 8:00pm.

So turn on your garbage radar and join our intrepid team of trash runners for a 3-mile trashlek on the Salado city streets.

Live Music!

Saturday, Oct 8th, 4-7 pm

Live Music!  Will we be inside or outside?  We’ll be indoors if it is too hot or too windy instead of jammin’ on the lawn, it’s just too dang hot in Texas sometimes and we wouldn’t want your cool glass of Texas wine to heat up too fast.  So feel free to bring snacks (no outside alcohol though) and join Pat, Michael & Julie for some terrific tunes and a great afternoon.  Hopefully it will cool off enough to sit out on the porch.

Jammin’ on the Lawn

Live Music! Saturday, October 1st, 4-7 pm. Join us for some great music! It may be indoors since Texas has decided that it likes to stay 100 degrees.  Or maybe it will be indoors if we get that much needed rain.  Or maybe it will be outdoors and it will be beautiful autumn breezes.  In any case, feel free to bring some snacks (don’t bring alcohol though), bring some friends and enjoy some terrific music along with some great Texas wines.

Sons of Leisure will be playing!
