Join us for this class which will help you to learn what those wine writers are talking about. Develop your vocabulary for relating the wines and deepen your enjoyment. Lecture and wine tasting.

Sensing Oak in Wines

What do you mean “aged in oak”? Why oak? How does that affect the flavor? Do they age wine in mesquite? Find out the answers to these questions and expand your understanding of wine. Lecture and wine tasting.

Valentine’s Weekend @ Salado Wine Seller
Jodie Wachsmann will be playing from 4-6 pm Saturday, February 13th. Bring your valentine and listen to Jodie while you enjoy a glass of your favorite Texas wine. No tickets & no cover charge. Do a tasting, (5 tastes $3) and check out the new almond bark we just recieved from Wiseman House Chocolates. We also have cheese in our fridge from the Texas Cheese House in Lorena.
Sorry, our Saturday night event with classical guitar has sold out. You can still sign up for the waiting list here, but I’m not expecting any cancellations. Sorry, you’ll just have to come early and listen to Jodie instead.
Sunday, February 14th we will have wine for tasting and as always art for browsing. Right now we’ve got art by John Davis, who lives in Salado. His contemporary paintings are an exploration of pop art and feature warm reds. We’re open Sunday from 12-6 so come on by.
Monday, February 15th–are you one of those lucky people who has the day off? We’re open Monday from 12-6 and as always we’ll have 5 Texas wines available to taste for the small price of $3.

Romantic Valentine’s Evening for 2!

Come enjoy a romatic evening with your significant other! You will recieve a basket which includes a bottle of Texas Wine, loaf of bread from Roy T’s Bakery, cheese from The Texas Cheese House, truffles from Wiseman House Chocolates, and fruit. There will be a classical guitarist, Matt Ferguson, playing background music and romantic candle light!

New Year means New Art Exhibit @ Salado Wine Seller!
Americanography–Mixed Media
Join John Davis, contemporary artist from Salado, on Friday night, January 8th, 6-8 pm for his opening reception. Mr. Davis’s art features common images and logos in a comedic, funky way. He is clearly infuenced by popart and iconography while his works range from an arrangement of goofy cameras to fun collages that beg us to laugh at life.
If you cannot make it to the opening reception, be sure to come by and check out his intriguing artwork. This will be an interesting mixed media show, and one that you will certainly enjoy while sipping a glass of Texas wine. If you’re lucky, John might even stop by, recommend his favorite red wine, and explain what the heck his art means.
