Join Linda Woznica, from Salado Yarn Co. , for our “Sip ‘n Knit”. Bring your favorite knitting project for a casual gathering of knitters (and crocheters) where everyone brings whatever they are working on and we sit around together and talk, share, help one another, and one other thing – We drink wine! $5/glass of wine will be available.

All levels of knitters are welcome but please keep in mind there are no lessons. Linda will have supplies so you can knit a wine bottle scarf. What? You heard us right, you can make a scarf to keep your favorite bottle cozy. So don’t be shy, come on by!

Ostrich Egg Painting Party

Join us April 13, 2014 between 2 and 6  for an creative experience . Paint, dye, and embellish your ostrich egg while you sip some locally made wine.  We’ll provide the egg, a glass of wine, decorating materials and instruction.  Hop on down and enjoy this festive way to prepare for Easter!

Vineyard Blessing 2014

Join us at 2 pm, Sunday, May 18 at our vineyard for the Blessing of the Vineyard.  Presiding over the ceremony will be Rev. Bob Bliss of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Salado, TX. Following the blessing, at approximately 3pm, the group will travel to Salado Winery at 841 N. Main St., Salado, to bless the wine in production and enjoy a reception.

Friends & family are welcome.  Children will enjoy the procession outdoors.  Pets on leashes are also invited.  Casual Attire.  The vineyard is covered by grass, so we encourage you to wear sandals or sneakers, sun block, and perhaps bug spray.  This event will be held rain or shine.

KNCT Wine Classic

knct wine classicSaturday, January 18, Killeen Civic Center, 5pm – 10pm

We’ll be pouring our wines at the 2014 KNCT Wine Classic!  We hope you can come and join in the fun.  Time to drink some wine and help raise money for our local PBS station.  This will be our 5th year to attend and the food gets better every year.

There are two options for tickets.  The first option is general admission from 7-10 pm, $60/person includes wine tasting, glass & hors d’oeuvre.  The second option is “Wine 101” with Steve Hanik starting at 5 pm and early admission to the wine tasting hall.

Salado Stroll this Weekend!

Time for Salado’s annual Stroll!  Like always, we will have warm Kriskindel wine available, late hours and more!  5 tastes of wine for $3.  El Paisa #2 taco stand will have extended hours.  Silver Spur Arts Academy has erected a stage and will be providing entertainment.  Information for other events in Salado available at www.salado.com.

Refresh. Revive. Renew. Come early and start the evening by savoring a mellow glass of locally produced wine, then partake in a great yoga class featuring wine-inspired Yoga poses for all levels created by our local cosmic cowgirl in residence, Tiffany Schreiner, CYT.

6:00 – 6:45 pm ~ Enjoy a tasting of Salado Winery wines for $3 or sit and sip a glass for $5

6:45 – 8:00 pm ~ Join us for an evening of uplifting relaxation for your body, mind, and soul.

Schreiner kicks off the new year at Salado Wine Seller sharing her 20+ years of dance, yoga, healing movement, and aroma therapies to Central Texas. Catch up with her at https://www.facebook.com/yogacentraltexas.

Reservations are encouraged but are not required, so if moved by the spirit at the last minute, then come on down and join us! Wine tasting is $3. Wine is $5/glass. Yoga class is $15 per person or $25/couple. If you have a mat, please bring it, but if not, we have a few to lend out. All levels are welcome, typically we have folks who have never done yoga along with folks who are experienced and everyone enjoys themselves.
